We had a very successful talk on how to Mentor For Profit last week on Thursday with more than 50 people attending. Today I will highlight some of the key points taught. However the personalized sessions and enrollment interviews will be ongoing before the formal class begins.  I am also considering offering an additional class on Saturdays, for those working and not available during the week. He/she is likely to be carrying a book in the coat or handbag. Someone at crossroads , they find themselves  in unfamiliar territory and need help to navigate a particular circumstance from starting a business to making the move to natural hair. Not making an emotional connection from the word go : Many programs, courses and talks  offered by many trainers , mentors and consultants fail to hit the mark because the language used is generic, too broad or bland ( basically boring and uninspiring ). Consequently it doesn't connect  or it is confusing. The secret is to focus on a narrow area and choose a hot topic. Then ensure there are a heading and subheading  + a promise of a clear end result or outcome. Not trusting  yourself and your inner wisdom : You have been endowed with  wisdom from within. You have a way of doing things. You have overcome many personal challenges. Keep in mind you are only 2 steps ahead of your clients. What you know and do is what they want.
