[wanabidii] Cecil is not alone

Mourning the loss of a beloved lion.
Cecil is not alone

A trophy hunter killed Zimbabwe's most beloved big cat, Cecil, but Cecil isn't alone. Africa's total lion population has declined by 42% over the past two decades – and today less than 30,000 of these big cats remain. African Wildlife Foundation protects critical lion populations through conflict mitigation, creation of corridors, strengthening of parks and reserves and advocacy efforts on behalf of lion conservation.
