		Polythene ban in national monuments from Oct 2 There will be a complete ban on use of polythene in all national monuments and tourist destinations from October 2, tourism minister Mahesh Sharma said. In an initiative to carry forward the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), the government chose the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi to impose the ban. SPG wants NGT nod for diesel vehicles registration The Special Protection Group on Friday approached the National Green Tribunal seeking direction to the Delhi government's transport department to allow registration of its diesel vehicles.
