Sensex zooms post Budget, gains nearly 1,500pts
Despite initial scare on proposal like tax on higher dividend distribution, the much awaited Budget saw bulls prevailing upon the bears. Optimism multiplied with budgetary allocation on growth supportive fundamentals of nearly Rs 36,000 crore for infra and farm sectors.

SBI granted operating licence by Myanmar
Myanmar has granted operating licences to 4 more Asian banks, taking the number of foreign banks in Myanmar to 13. The approval gives the banks 12 months to demonstrate they can fulfill business plans laid out in their application to the government before they will be granted permanent licenses.

Rajan to wait until April to cut rates again: Poll
A majority of economists polled said RBI chief Raghuram Rajan would not repeat the surprise cut of 25 basis points he delivered just a few days after last year's budget, with 20 of 28 saying a cut was unlikely before next month's policy review on April 5.
