29/05/2015 - Since relations between Korea and Africa began in 1961, bilateral trade has grown to about 60 percent. And there are efforts to deepen relations between the continent and Korea, Steve Kayizzi-Mugerwa, Acting Chief Economist and Vice-President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), said Thursday at the AfDB Annual Meetings in Abidjan.

29/05/2015 - Africa-India Partnership Day was one of the major events of the 2015 African Development Bank Annual Meetings. Jointly organized on May 27 in Abidjan by the AfDB's Private Sector Department and the Export-Import Bank of India, it brought together financiers, sponsors, contractors, researchers and other key actors of Africa and India's private sector for networking and identifying business opportunities mutually beneficial for the continent and India. The Ministry of Finance of India and the Embassy of India spearheaded the event.

29/05/2015 - Lowering youth unemployment across Africa is an urgent problem and greater vocational and industrial training programs may be the best way to put people to work. That was the major take away from "Skills and Technology for Africa's Transformation," a panel discussion held Thursday as part of the African Development Bank Group's (AfDB) Annual Meetings in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.
