		Sensex crashes 538 points; Nifty below 7,800 The benchmark BSE Sensex tanked by over 538 points in one of its worst falls in over three months to 25,622.87, tracking global sell-off amid concerns over slowdown in China and escalating tension in the Middle East. 'Manufacturing shrinks for 1st time in over 2 years' In the first contraction in over two years, manufacturing sector output dipped in December to a 28-month low as new orders fell sharply and production took a big hit from heavy rains in Chennai, putting pressure on RBI to keep rates low.
