Press Releases: Senior Advisor Kenney Travel to Uruguay and Argentina 01/28/2016 03:07 PM EST Senior Advisor Kenney Travel to Uruguay and Argentina Media Note Office of the Spokesperson Washington, DC January 28, 2016 Ambassador Kristie Kenney, Senior Advisor to the U.S. Secretary of State, will travel to Uruguay and Argentina on February 2-4 to meet with senior government officials, civil society, and the private sector. On February 2, Ambassador Kenney will travel to Montevideo to meet with Uruguayan government officials. They will discuss opportunities for increased collaboration on a range of bilateral and global issues. While in Uruguay, Ambassador Kenney will also meet with representatives from civil society organizations focused on education. On February 3, Ambassador Kenney will travel to Buenos Aires, the highest-level State Department official to visit Argentina in more than a decade. Ambassador Kenney will meet with Argentine officials to discuss new opportunities for increased bilateral and regional cooperation. While in Argentina, Ambassador Kenney will also meet with prominent politicians from a wide political spectrum, business leaders, academics, and women leaders.
