The United States appreciates your cooperation in promoting maritime security in the Indian Ocean. Your leadership makes the region safer and promotes peace and stability that benefits all of Africa. I also commend your efforts to develop and maintain a sustainable ocean economy. Conservation will ensure our natural resources endure for years to come, while providing economic opportunities for Seychellois and others who rely on the sea for their livelihoods.
