That banana was something planned in advance, I'm sure.

Bananas are well-known instant energy boosters like glucose.

He must have signaled to one of his people that he needed one. No one, leave alone a player, would eat something just like that without knowing its origin. It could be a poisoned banana thrown there by a fan of the other team.
