Dear All,
Enclosed is the summary of our Forum on: "African Diaspora and Development: What Partnership?" held on April 12 2014 in Washington D.C. The Forum was a success. We thank everyone who attended it and look forward to a progressive building of a consortium of Diaspora organizations.
Next steps include among others:
· To call a "Telephone meeting" in the next few weeks; gathering of the Diaspora according to professions and professional activities aimed at maximizing our work in Africa.
· To participate in the forthcoming ECOWAS conference in June 2014.
· A Follow-up discussion as part of CFA's 2014 Ronald H. Brown African Affairs Series on September 27, 2014
· To hold similar Forum in Colorado next Fall
More details on the specifics of the forthcoming conferences will be provided.
We would like to share some of the presentations.
