[wanabidii] * Atheists are MORE intelligent than Religious people !

Folks,

I do not believe for a moment that it is unfair to point out that, in those countries where religion dominates the lives of its citizens – African, some Asian and Middle East Countries – social, economic and technological progress is virtually at a standstill.

This paralysis exists not because these people are stupid, but because religion has served to crush innovation and entrench primitive thinking. People are more willing to exemplify Muhammad or Jesus, and seek for spiritual solutions to their problems than to engage in Critical Thinking, or embrace scientific solutions. The Fire Ministries is just one of the many examples, and it does not really matter, whether you belong to Mavuno Church, SDA or Catholic, you still are a primitive person whose life is a function of the spiritual world you hope to solve your problems. 

Look at Citizen TV on Sundays, and see the number or sermons from Televangelists, then you start realizing that we could do better on our TV Stations and Radio stations on Sundays, we could teach Kenyans the benefits of Genetically Modified Foods, we could educate the Kenyans on what Odhiambo Oketch is doing on the clean campaign, instead of all those useless sermons from the pastors. 

If you are in a Christian Union, a religious chama, if you go to church, know that you are limiting the scope of what you can do. You are contributing to the underdevelopment of the country. Read a goddamn novel, read about technology from the internet. 

There can be no doubting that these religious people have been stupefied by religion masquerading as knowledge.

The only cure for this boils down to proper education, free of all religious influence.That the decline of religious belief across developed nations in the 20th century led to more intelligent populations is indisputable, and I have no doubt that, if religion were to give way to better education in Africa and the Muslim states, the same trend would be observed there.
