The finance ministry on Tuesday said the RBI monetary policy is broadly in line with government's expectations on growth and inflation. However, it said that business confidence will be restrained to an extent on account of unrelenting global factors.

Gold futures rise 0.19% on global cues
Gold prices rose 0.19 per cent to Rs 29,442 per 10 gram in futures trade as participants created fresh positions, tracking a firm trend overseas. Globally, gold rose 0.10 per cent to US$ 1,244.70 an ounce in New York on Tuesday.

Sensex bounces 100 points in early trade on positive global cues
The 30-share index rose by 100.12 points, or 0.37%, to 26,877.57 with the sectoral indices, led by auto, banking, power, realty, metal and consumer durables, trading in the positive zone with a gain of up to 0.64%.
