The Cabinet has given in-principle approval to merger of the 5 associate banks and Bhartiya Mahila Bank with the State Bank of India. Its 5 associate banks are State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, State Bank of Travancore, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Mysore and State Bank of Hyderabad.
