Press Releases: Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Richard Stengel Travels to New Delhi, India 11/14/2014 01:15 PM EST Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Richard Stengel Travels to New Delhi, India Media Note Office of the Spokesperson Washington, DC November 14, 2014 The Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, Richard Stengel, will travel to New Delhi, India, November 17-18, where he will meet with government officials, civil society leaders, educators and students, business leaders and entrepreneurs, and representatives of the media. On November 17, he will participate in the U.S.-India Higher Education Dialogue (HED), an annual bilateral event that identifies areas for exchange and strategies for partnership in the field of education. The dialogue provides a platform for intense collaboration among members of academia, the private sector, and government. On November 18, the Under Secretary will participate in the India-U.S. Technology Summit. This is India’s 20th annual Technology Summit and the first time that the United States has participated as the partner country. The summit will convene representatives of several hundred Indian and U.S. companies, as well as senior leaders from industry, government, and academia to build partnerships and encourage bilateral trade and investment.
