Friends, Happy New Year. On the 5th January 2013, in partnership with the Public Service Transformation Department, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission and other partners, we will be launching the Kenyans for a Clean General Election Campaign at the Redeemed Gospel Church in Huruma in Mathare Constituency. There will be a Clean-up Campaign along Juja Road around the Church as from 7.00am and in a discussion this morning with the Director of Environment at the City Council of Nairobi, they will avail the working tools in good time. We will then recede to the Church Hall at 9.00am for the official launch of the Kenyans for a Clean General Election Campaign by the IEBC Chair Mr. Ahmed Issack Hassan.
This will be an exciting 8 Weeks Campaign across Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu, and we will be inviting the 14.3 million Kenyans who registered as voters to come out on the 4th March 2013 and vote. We will also host a simulation exercise on the voting process as we host 500 Leaders to a discussion forum on Peaceful Electoral Process.
