Sensex closes provisionally 181 points down
The Sensex touched a high of 26,942.29 points and a low of 26,585.20 points in the intra-day trade.

Gold dips below Rs 27,000; hits over 2-week low
Gold prices slipped below the Rs 27,000-mark by plunging Rs 245 to trade at over two-week low of Rs 26,830 per 10 grams at the bullion market. Silver also cracked below Rs 37,000 by falling Rs 735 to Rs 36,630 per kg on reduced offtake by industrial units and coin makers.

ITC Q2 net up marginally at Rs 2,431.25 cr
Diversified group ITC Ltd has posted a marginal rise in standalone net profit at Rs 2,431.25 crore for the quarter ended September 30 as its cigarette segment reeled under pressure amid sluggish demand environment of the FMCG industry and prolonged disruption in the instant noodles category.

Rural internship rule holds up MBBS degree for 7,500 students in Karnataka
