Friends---
It is that time of the year when a group of young Kenyans give back to society. We are planning a visit to Kajiado SDA Childrens Home that cares for girls rescued from early marriages and FGM in the Maasai Community. The visit will take place on July 6th and 7th 2013.
The home cares for 150 girls, 30girls in secondary school and 120 at the home.
We shall have a raft of activities with the girls during the day on 6th and enjoy a lunch meal that we shall have prepared for them at the home.
  1. An advance team Leaves Nairobi on 5th to go and spend the evening with the girls.
  2. A second batch of the members will leave on 6th Morning at 8.30 and join the rest.
  3. An evening of reflection and team building on the 6th as a team at a location that will be announced.
Donations
We are appealing to our friends to give donations of both material goods and cash to go towards supporting the home. You can donate anything from clothes, shoes, food stuff, books etc. You may be having that little dress that you no longer need. It will be most helpful to the girls. For those who cannot make it and would like to contribute in kind or in cash, you are requested to send to Aggie by MPESA on 0722712008.
Aggie will keep the records of all donations which shall be utilized in the most studious way.
 
Transport and Accommodation
Transport and accommodation to and from Kajiado is Ksh. 1500.00.
We can get as many friends to come along, if it happens that you cant go, you can contribute to the kitty so that we can buy food stuff for the girls.
Appeal
Supporting the gilrs in the home will go a long way in supporting their education and well being. For those of you who can reach out to the Corporates for support, you are most welcome.
