The UN General Assembly in New York has just designated Nov 19 as World Toilet Day. This is to spotlight the 2.5 billion people in the world who have no basic toilet facilities, not even pit latrines.
It's interesting that the world has a population of 7 billion people and 6 billion have mobile phones yet only 4.5 billion have at least basic toilet facilities.
This means that there are 1.5 billion people in the world who have mobile phones but have no toilet of any type. They "help themselves" in the bushes !!!!
The world still has a long way to go. It's interesting that the world has a population of 7 billion people and 6 billion have mobile phones yet only 4.5 billion have at least basic toilet facilities.
