CCM MPs Sitta and Lowassa confront each other The exchange of words among senior members of the ruling party, CCM, has continued and this time, the minister of East Africa and Urambo MP, Samuel Sitta has confronted the former Prime Minister who is also Monduli MP, Edward Lowassa. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Raia Mwema newspaper, Mr. Sitta questioned the sources of funds Mr. Lowassa has because he has been conducting nation-wide fundraising where billions of money are being collected from unnamed "friends of Lowassa." Mr. Sitta said those friends should be named and their sources of wealth be exposed. "It is surprising that there are some people who cannot donate in churches and mosques directly but do that through their 'colleague' (Lowassa). That is not a divine way," he said adding that the corrupt individuals have now affected even the good image of our country in the international community. "The just ended Smart Partnership Dialogue was meant to bring us international image but some thefts have misused public funds," lamented the Minister referring to flouted tender process in the dialogue hosted by President Jakaya Kikwete.
