[wanabidii] Re: [PK] Re: English Pronunciation

Okil,

I honestly believe this kid "followed me" (inherited my genes/DNA) notwithstanding the also very intelligent mom of hers. I thank God everyday that their school performance has never been an issue to worry about.
But don't get me wrong though; these kids may be brilliant at school but they are extremely arrogant. They laugh at the other kids in class and mock the ones who "pull the tail". I've warned them against that and given them an example of Uhuru Kenyatta who has never gotten more than a C in any school all his life but is now president, or Njenga Karume who never went to secondary but became a billionaire. I teach them to respect the other kids no matter how dumb/thick those kids are at school.

But thanks for the kind regards with respect to my daughter.

Courage

Oduor,
There's nothing "complicated" in what your obviously
intelligent daughter is trying, I hope successfully, to drub into your
skull!!! It is called "intonation"! It is there in all intelligent
human languages, including your dholuo mother tongue! No wonder I
wasn't sure you were capable of bringing forth an intelligent
daughter/human being!!!
