Help me talk to this man! And this is how some areas in Kenya have remained poor; 'leaders and opinion holders' playing proud (albeit stupidly) to an extent a potential source of aids will be dissuaded, on the premise of 'we are cool'. Epidemiologically, we can not bash Maurice, as the flea will require specific conditions to thrive, which may not be in Ugenya (but Ugengya ni kubwa sana...weka pride kando man!)

Since the world is now a global village and people are intermingling all over the place, it's entirely possible that people from other places brought in jiggers already in their feet, into Siaya and introduced it there. That would be sad. But the folks in West Ugenya tell me that they don't even know what a jigger is.

When u say people brought - be sure that is the way to spread the fleas unless the people of Ugenya influenced the visitors on how to be flea - free.

Please let's not argue about this. There is not a single jigger in the County of Siaya. You could probably be talking about people who came into Siaya County with jiggers already in their feet, brought in from elsewhere.

All the time I was growing up in West Ugenya, I heard rumours of only one kid across the Sikinga Ridge that had jiggers. He had come from Enderet (Eldoret) where he lived with his aunt.
