[wanabidii] Re: The Presidency; Bett Quizes Uhuru!

Thanx Roz & Jagem,

Ever heard of Rajolina of Madagaska! A Dj who made it to leadership through a undemocratic means - my first time to hear of him was during the takeover and the second time is just a week or so where he suscinctly put it that he can only step down from contesting if his rival also steps down.

A few years ago,i was asked to prepare and interview Pastor Ayonga (S.D.A Church minister) for Evangelion Magazine.
One of the questions i shot across was about the young being leaders of tomorrow -vs- the elderly who appear to hold for as long as it takes.
His answers included,"You are not always young.Yesterday you were a kid, today a grown up person, and tommorrow an Octogenerian/elderly". He concluded that you can Do something somewhere all along without strictly waiting for tomorrow, and you do not need to be appointed nor elected. But you can mobilize people and do something.

The young turks of 1990s can be credited with the championing of reforms that have borne the current costitution - we need midwives who wont throw the baby with bath water,au sio!

Evans,

If age is really a factor then Kadir and Namwamba would come up on tops for the Job. But would they have the experience to handle some very serious state matters?

Have you seen the way a Youthful leader in Joseph Kabila of DRC bungles up issues in DRC? Kabila, because of his lack of experience has created a whole big mess which is Congo now. The other day, he even came to Kenya to tell Obako ati dhahabu zake zilichezwa na ziko Kenya. Obako on his part decided to make the stuff disappear for good.

That kind of action shows outrageous naivety in handling State matters,...no experience at all. By the way, have you heard Ohuru telling the international Leaders that he does not care about them? That is a show of immaturity on his part since Kenya is not in Isolation, but in this big global Village that the world has become.

Given a Choice between old and Youth, I'd rather the experienced old, who will dedicate life to building the Country rather than the youth who is trying to loot from the Country. Au siyoo?

Jagem

Evans,

Truth is we have a wider choice this time...even Kimenchu whom you have to mention:))))and we know why. You should rather be telling her to put her knickers on before she eyes the presedential seat.

Subject: The Presidency; Bett Quizes Uhuru!

What is the age factor for leadership in kenya and in particular the Presidency!

We always hear that vijana ni viongozi wa kesho! Na iyo kesho itafika siku gani!

Hon.Frankline Bett has asked Hon.Uhuru Kenyatta how come his late dad Mzee Jomo became the president of kenya at 74 and when it is Raila,he should go home with Kibaki.

It is not lost that Hon.Uhuru stepped down his candidature for the presidency in 2007 for the then 76 year old mzee Kibaki. What has changed now.

Perhaps we need to understand whether the young one is automatically makes a good president - granted,we have the real youth in the block - Kingwa Kamencu at 29 can rule kenya and given good health, retire at 39.

Mnaona aje huyo dame!

Subject: U are a member of a party you do not know!

Are you really surprised that we have a fake PPO who sacked about 10 police officers in the last few years!

Your name could be with a political party that you are not a subscriber ;- check with www.iebc.or.ke/rpp/ID.No....

I am a member of a party that i have little knowledge about.I wonder if that is the party that will form the next government and rule with legitimacy!

We once had a mzee Ayanu from Ethiopia hosted at Pan Africa Hotel in the name of Gen.Mathenge.
