[wanabidii] Nominations - habari kwa ufupi !

I must say that we are in breathless moments upto and until IEBC Gazettes the nominated names for a nother round of duel that is an election for some and nominations for others depending on the region and loyalty songs to party leaders - voters cant dare annoy their son,u know!

I am on transit from gusii the land of amatoke to Nyorobi. At Narok,a TNA woman aspirant who had won with 8000 votes was declared a looser to the one who lost after gannering 3000 but was reported to be 33,000. She started ulurating to a breaking news via Citizen TV having re-declared the winner - she was on her way to Nairobi to secure another certificate with SDP.

I have advised her to go back and get the certificate or else some one else (not a candidate) will get it and by tuesday, one is supposed to face IEBC with complaints after exhausting inhouse arbitration mechanism!

We are saying, between now and monday ,any body can secure a ticket winning/loosing notwithstanding. We can hold our breath till all the names are listed by IEBC for gazzetting as candidates for choices for 2013 but do i have to say some situations are confusing, while others are dsturbing (Githae ,Jakoyo & Mbaru Out, Oburu,Nyongo etc are confusing)!

We are yet to gather on or about Hon.Netto.

Mr.&Mrs.Mwatela lost for mp and gubernatorial.

The new order is dictated by law where coalitions have to tow a particular line while individual parties have their own legal legs to stand on hence different parties under one umbella have to face each other kwa debe lakini voters wapige ya juu wakitumia akili.

Hon.Waititu has shown Jimna Mbaru some dust - Waititu deals with hawkers and gheto fans who administer instant justice.Mbaru is a corporate mogul who will prefer to lecture on or about MDGs,Vision 2013 of which the gheto guy will see you as a joker.Yaani tuseme,Waitutu knew the way to go,and will have to square it out with Dr.Kidero.

I must also say here that the middle class guys have done a lot of deservice to this country - they absent themselves for whetver reason yet they are the ones at one point or another will want to make it to the ballot box or seek appointments courtesy of my vote to a mheshimiwa.

Kenyans have demonstrated that they can bring change by fronting in new leaders while some leaders are fond of rigging - the old order is sweet u know,au sio!

Finally,as we speak now TNA are still doing their nominations with lonf queues!

At least 10 outgoing MPs were rejected by voters who opted for fresh faces as political parties started releasing results of the nominations.

For the second day, chaos, delays and confusion reigned as The National Alliance and United Republican Party conducted their nominations, which they had postponed due to logistical problems.
As the results trickled in, the outgoing MPs who lost in the nominations were assistant minister Calist Mwatela (Mwatate), Jakoyo Midiwo (Gem), David Were (Matungu), Isaac Muoki (Kitui South), Evans Akula (Khwisero), Victor Munyaka (Machakos Town), Erastus Mureithi (Ol Kalou), Daniel Mwoki (Mwala), David Koech (Mosop) and Itwiku Mbai (Masinga).
Other notable losers were former minister Mutua Katuku (Machakos, governor), former envoy to South Africa Tabitha Seii (Elgeyo-Marakwet, senate), former President Kibaki's bodyguard Col (Rtd) Geoffrey Muturi (Mbeere South), and former Central Bank of Kenya deputy governor Jacinta Mwatela (Taita Taveta, governor).
Political careers of several other outgoing MPs were hanging by their finger nails by the time we went to press as results from various nomination centres were being announced.
In Taita Taveta, double political tragedy struck Mr Mwatela, the Education assistant minister, when he lost ODM's Mwatate parliamentary seat ticket to Mr Andrew Mwadime and his wife, Jacinta Mwatela, lost the race for governor's seat. Mr Mwadime garnered 3,480 votes against Mr Mwatela's 1,408, with another contestant, Mr Anthony Mlambwa, getting 3,217 votes.
Mrs Mwatela, lost the ODM ticket for governor's seat to former Kenya Petroleum Refineries Limited general manager John Mruttu. Mr Mruttu garnered 19,080 votes against Mrs Mwatela's 16,503.
Finance assistant minister Oburu Oginga was the centre of controversy in Siaya County when he was declared winner of ODM's senate ticket by returning officer Monica Amollo.
Ms Amollo announced that Dr Oginga garnered 62,232 votes against businessman William Oduol's 35,198. Mr Oduol had earlier declared himself the winner with 99,992 votes against Dr Oginga's 51,478.
Mr Oduol said he was not surprised that ODM declared Dr Oginga the winner, stating that he was prepared for it.
Confusion reigned
"I will make a major announcement tomorrow or the day after on my next move. I saw this coming and I was prepared for it."
Confusion reigned as Ms Amollo disappeared from the tallying hall. She had initially invited journalists to meet her in Bondo for a press conference but later changed her mind and shifted the meeting to Siaya. Four hours later, she was yet to be traced. -Daily Nation

Where is Dr. Bitange to write a response to this speech by Mudavadi. This is 100 times worse than what Makau Mutua wrote that Bitange got all heated up about. Bure kabisa huyu Bitange !!!!  He's a PS and should stay out of politics.

If Wanjiru Kamangu wants her chums she ever given ODM,Se must demonstrate how how she could have won in any other party to earn as an mp and as an assistant minister under that docket noting that se got it under the Orange party.

Yaani, what is her better option from ODM and why didnt she make it there in the right time - broad day light!

Is that a silent suggestion that se purchased her membership as opposed to subscription!

Are we about to see the end of her political career!

Now,come to Hon.Messy.

Messy wants u to elect him to have kenya stable. He needs to explain to us where we messed as a country, and demonstrate what he is going to do to stablize the nation. But is he going to be a prezzo of western kenya where he has literally lived for a week or so!

Why did he leave and  joined various groups that he had objected to earlier on only to leave again - unlike minds!

NAIROBI, KENYA: Former town clerk Phillip Kisia has left ODM party where he was contesting for the Governor ticket.
Though he is yet to make a formal announcement, sources say he was told to bow out in favor of Dr Evans Kidero.
Outgoing Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru had also indicated that she would contest for the ODM ticket, but her fate is unknown as shadows have been cast on her qualifications
