[wanabidii] The Mathare Human Peace Caravan; an invitation to Peace Actors

Dear Friends,

We will host the Mathare Human Peace Caravan across Mathare on the 19th January 2013 across Mathare.

The procession will be flagged off by the PC Nairobi Mr. Njoroge Ndirangu outside the Redeemed Gospel Church in the presence of the Apostolic Bishop of the Redeemed Gospel Church Dr Arthur Kitonga at 8.00am. We have extended invitations to the Rt Hon Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga and the Deputy Prime Minister Hon Uhuru Kenyatta and all the Peace Actors in Nairobi to also join with us on the day.

We must not let violence be part of us in Nairobi, and we want to come out with song and dance as we march across Mathare and end the procession at Huruma Sports Grounds where the leaders present will address the gathering after prayers by Bishop Kitonga and his team.

The Administration Police Band will also be in attendance.

To help make this happen, we are meeting with several Religious Leaders from across Mathare tomorrow at 9.00am to plan for the day.

The PC Nairobi Mr. Ndirangu, the IEBC Chair Mr. Hassan and the Executive Diretor TCKC Mr. Odhiambo with Mr. Nahum Okwiya and IEBC CEO and Commissioners

In the meantime, the Kenyans for a Clean General Election Campaign moves to Kasarani on the 16th January 2013 when we will join with the IEBC Nairobi Team, the City Council of Nairobi, the Provincial Administration Kasarani, NEMA Kasarani, the Kariobangi Waste Management Alliance and members of the public in cleaning Kamunde Road in Kariobangi.

We will converge at the Catholic Church at 7.00am for the Clean-up event to be flagged off by the DO Kariobangi Mr. Charles Mabonga and the IEBC Nairobi Regional Coordinator Ms Bilhah Kiptugen. We will later converge at the Kariobangi Social Hall for our Voter Education Forum and all political aspirants in Kasarani are invited.

Later at 3.00pm, the IEBC Team will be launching the Voter Education Drive at Dandora Sports Grounds and all are invited.
