[wanabidii] Kenyans Abroad Fight for Vote

Folks,

Museveni is definately going to rig for Uhuru after stealing Migingo the way he
hates Luos so much.......and this will not be acceptable........

Opportunity comes only once.......Let us fight for our rights the legal way and
have clean and square electioneering so we elect the right person to lead Kenya.

No Voting In Diaspora, Says IEBC
Published on Dec 2, 2012 by kenyacitizentv

Kenyans living in East African countries will have a chance to vote in the forthcoming General Election after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) authorized voter registration at all foreign missions in the four countries. IEBC Chairman Issack Hassan said the commission has encountered logistical challenges that make it impossible for all Kenyans in the Diaspora to register as voters despite its initial intension to register voters at all foreign missions. Meanwhile those seeking to be the governor of the capital city of Nairobi intensified their campaigns seeking to woo more voters. Chris Thairu reports.

Is this Isaac of IEBC insane or what? Its their right to vote and not a favour that you are doing to them!Like a right to live,do you tell people in NE that you cant allow them to live or to breath because its complex to send water and food to them? Its their democratic right to vote! Not a favour! You had enuff time to organise yourselves, especially now with the modern IT technology, voting can be done and the results registered immediately pap! If South-Sudan did it,why not us, Freakin dinosaurs!
what is difference registering citizens in Uganda and Canada? stop fooling us we know our rights....and we will sue and this election will be postponed by a judge!
This guy kisia is as informed as they come, he was a the clerk in the city?, he should show as his record.
This country that depends on remittances by the diaspora to shore up it's economy can't make an effort to have their voice represented. What a bunch of clowns running the country. Add ICC criminals running for the top post and other dinosaurs campaigning on tribal lines. What a joke! Peter Kenneth might have been rendered ineffective by that decision.

Kenyans Abroad Fight for Vote

By Maxwell Masava, 1 December 2012
Two Kenyans from the diaspora have asked the IEBC to clarify whether they will register Kenyans living outside the country, saying they feel cheated.
Addressing a press conference in Nairobi yesterday, George Wajackoyah, a presidential aspirant and Jafar Isaak said the commission should not let the government usurp its mandate.
Justice minister Eugene Wamalwa said it will be untenable to register the voters in the diaspora ahead of the March 4 general election.
He claimed it will be a logistical nightmare to register them and even vote from abroad. Kenyans living abroad have threatened to sue the electoral commission to force it to register them.
