Dehradun police arrested six members of a NCR-based gang which is suspected to have duped several insurance policy holders across the country of amount to the tune of several crores on pretext on providing more amount than the maturity sum or doubling the amount in quick time after the maturity of the policy.
A 19-year-old girl was raped in pretext of giving her lift to home by her former classmate near Jhalana Dungari area in the city late on Monday evening. Police said that the accused was a class fellow of the girl in 2013 while both were in schools. Police have registered a case of illegal confinement and rape against the accused and have started investigating the case.
Apple has announced biggest-ever price drop for its smartphones in India.
