A media report suggesting that the Pakistan military has been asked not to "interfere" in action against militant groups considered "off limits" gave rise to heated speculation of a rift between the Nawaz Sharif government and the army brass even though the account was forcefully denied.

32-year-old man shoots himself in Mumbai
A 32-year-old man, described depressed, attempted suicide by shooting in the chest at his Dadar residence on Wednesda night. The police said it may book the man’s parents for negligence since the victim, Vijayjeet Bahadur Singh, used his father’s licensed revolver for shooting himself.

IndiGo adds capacity, to operate 883 daily flights
