Now this is the kind of a story I would like to hear after these MPs con Kenyans with all kinds of promises. I have a friend in Kenya who is the head of a major organization who actually fell for this scam and lost 50k !!!! An executive !!! When will Kenyans learn that nothing comes free of charge?

Wednesday September 4, 2013 - A prominent Luhya MP was recently conned a staggering Sh 10 million by a lady who had promised to double his money which was meant for his homecoming party.Apparently, the flamboyant MP who brags to be richer than President Uhuru Kenyatta, had planned to make history by throwing the biggest party ever seen in the region.But his plans were thwarted after a young woman contacted him and told him that she has a machine that doubles money. Convinced by the lady, the gullible MP met the lady at a Nairobi hotel carrying Sh 10 million cash waiting for the money to double.The MP handed the lady the 10 million in cash and in exchange the lady handed him the alleged 20 million shilling stashed in a briefcase.After pocketing the Sh 10 million, the woman left the legislator with unprocessed and fake money and walked away with the whole lot even without confirming whether the money is genuine or fake.Upon reaching his office along University Way, the lawmaker opened the briefcase and loud screams were heard over the building after the Mheshima wailed saying he has been conned Sh 10 million.The legislator has now called off the homecoming party after the incident, vowing to table a motion in Parliament to give stiff penalties to those arrested conning people in the streets.
