Subject: {UMBS} JICHO PEVU AND INSIDE STORY

As Kenyans were eagerly  waiting on Monday  for the second episode of the explosive expose of the brutal State Terror machinery by the Anti Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU) in its so called war on terror, a surprising announcement came from the Standard Centre that the airing had been postponed to Thursday after the emergence of "fresh information" to give "balanced coverage." 

The reading for many is that the documentary which shook the underbelly of the security agencies after it directly implicated senior security officials  for the extra judicial execution of Sheikh Aboud Rogo was pulled off the air due to pressure from the government.

The expose carried dramatic allegations that that an elite police squad was given the mandate to eliminate Rogo after express authorization from "above." 

It further  exposed the ATPU as rogue trigger happy cops who are eager to execute those they thought were involved in terrorism after lacking evidence to incriminate them in the courts of law.

Unlike other past heart rendering exposures of Jicho Pevu and Inside Story which are immediately available for internet viewers, this time round the videos are missing from the Standard Group website.

If it is true that the documentary is being  edited to suit State interests, it is It is interesting to note what will be the the reaction of Jicho Pevu's Muhammad Ali who bolted out of NTV after accusing them of watering down his explosive investigative features.

A source at KTN however, maintained that the delay was due to "some new additional information" and it was not related to State pressure.

Lets keep our breadth till the appointed time on Thursday at 7:30 pm and 9 pm.
