RE: [wanabidii] Rwanda’s reaction to Pres. Kikwete’s statement is shochking

Moghaka Matinyi you are very correct!

If after 20 years after the genocide, there is a group still fighting, one has to ask oneself: How many manhours have been lost in this hullabaloo?

Someone gives a sensible proposition, and , alas!, all hell breaks loose in Rwanda. What is saddening is for some of us to get to the arena and lend credence to this crap! Our President being abused is completely unwarranted.

There is a difference between internal skirmishes and a rebel movement. While I do not condone the brutal suppression of internal skirmishes, a la Mtwara and elsewhere, I find it totally disconcerting to equate this, and the rebel activities in the DRC or anywhere else.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Sweeping condemnations of rebels, invariably called "freedom fighters", "guerrillas" and stuff like that is to avoid the question:"Why do they fight in the first place?"

There has never been a good war, neither were there ever a bad peace. But people still do fight. Why?

Unless a people are pre-natally born with hormones of fear and cowardice, letting things go awry in a country unabated,  is not the best option.

Rwanda may have refused to heed to the proposal in a most courteous manner. May be some one should tell them if they persist, we are going to beat them.

What schutzpah!
