Mpendwa Paul,
Ningependa nikujibu kwa Kiswahili, huenda labda Kiingereza changu kibovu hata kama ndo nakifundisha hapa chuoni. Hiyo slagon hapo ni ya kifalsafa zaidi kuliko lugha kama unavyofikiri. Nitaendelea kusema kuwa haina makosa na hata siku moja sijutii kuwa mtanzania wala sijisikii unyonge kuwa mtanzania. Nianchosema ni kwamba sisi binadamu tunazaliwa kwa njia za kibayolojia ambazo mwenyezi Mungu aliziweka zikiwa za namna moja kwa wanadamu wote. Hakuna kutungwa mbimba kwa misingi ya dini, kabila au elimu nk. Kwahiyo tunazaliwa kama binadamu huru kabisa ila tukishakuja duniani ndipo mambom mengine ya dini, lugha na utamaduni huja kwa njia ya wazazi wetu. Mimi ningezaliwa Kenya na wazazi hawa wangu na kukulia kule ningekuwa na lugha na utamaduni wa kule; hali kadhalika ningezaliwa Ghana na wazazi hawa ningekuwa na lugha na utamaduni wa ghana. Sasa hizi tofauti zinazotakana na mazingira kifalsafa huitwa 'accidents' na si tafsiri uliyokuwa nayo wewe ya ajali au kasoro. Sikumaanisha kasoro hapa ila nilimaanisha haya ni masuala ambayo sisi kama binadamu hatupaswi kuyaona ni sehemu ya ubinadamu wetu kwa njia ya kuumbwa navyo, yaani kifalsafa ndo tunaita 'essences'. Kwahiyo istilahi za accidents na essence si kama ulivyoelewa. Unaposema mimi na wewe sote ni binadamu sawa na yule aliye ulaya au asia au marekani si dini zetu, lugha au rangi au tamaduni bali ni ile hali ya sisi sote kuwepo duniani kwa njia moja tu ya kibayolojia ambayo Mungu aliiweka tangu kuumbwa kwa dunia na njia hiyo ndiyo asili ya ubinadamu wetu, yaani 'the essence of our humanity', mengine yanayonitofuatisha mimi na wewe ndo ni 'accidents'. Kwahiyo usimbague mwanadamu mwenzako kwasababu hana lugha sawa na wewe, au dini sawa na wewe au utamaduni sawa na wewe. Asante sana.
