I've never heard him massacre an English word.But I've heard some people pronounce it in a way that sounds very pretentious. They say DH-E-RA-FO-O I believe this is wrong. It makes one sound very pretentious. This version is very common in Uganda but it came to my attention the other day when a Luo friend of mine, a very pretentious character, used it when talking to me on the phone.THEREFORE ------ DH-E-YA-FO-OFirst, let me say that the correct way, loosely, in my opinion is:Today's word is THEREFORE.This is a very simple and common word that we each probably use more than 20 times a day. I have now hear 2 versions of pronunciations for this word.
