Information permanent secretary Dr Bitange Ndemo has denied reports that the government had acquired a luxury jet for Deputy President William Ruto and whose payment across the year would cost about Sh100 million. Ndemo terming the reports as false and malicious, denied there was a one year contract with Vista Jet Company, the supplier of the jet saying that the flight was hired on a one off basis at a cost of Sh18. 5 million. And as NTV's Sheila Sendeyo reports, Ndemo defended the move to charter a flight for the deputy president who is on a tour across Africa, saying that it was more cost effective than using a commercial flight.

Wanjiru;

Its not for my personal benefit but its the cry of the voiceless in Kenya which keeps nagging as you say me everyday. I simply cannot stand to see a sick child crying for any kind of nutritional supplements and the parents won't find any to quell his empty and malnourished tummy. It pains me to see that happen when crooks in Ruto's office are busy eating like hyaenas or the pigs we saw greedily licking blood at parliament's front gates last week. And that is my worry which I can't help other than raise an alarm as loud as I can.

Thanks 4 asking though

Mr. Tebiti
You sound like a very intelligent man, but you are constantly nagging over everything, dont you ever have anything positive to share for a change?
How does all this benefit you at the end of the day?

The scandal surrounding Ruto's Sh 100 Millions jet ride took a new turn today as it has been revealed by the Daily Post that the VistaJet had asked for Sh 18.5 M for the entire trip but his aides inflated the bill by sh 8 Million more to make a kill out the trip. The new price tag was changed to sh 27 million payable in quarterly installments to a tune of sh 108 M on the yearly contract they had signed to fly Ruto and his entourage whenever he makes errands offshore. The damage control mechanisms Dr Ndemo and Ruto unleashed to the public was just meer fabrications to cover up their tracks. This is very unfair to the poor citizens when a single individual regardless of what status they hold in society decides to take off in wings costing such amount of money while many Kenyans go to bed on empty stomachs. Many of them can't afford medical bills or tuition to the college kids and on top of that the same high ranking official has failed to provide them with the basic security coverage to protect them from their mid night intruders. They are butchered like wild animals in the woods.
Our youthful digital leaders have proved ndugu Choni Githongo's political theory of 2003 when he said that greedy and powerful Mt Kenya mafias in the Kibaki administration told him "its our time to eat"!! This is exactly what Ruto's aides did with the VistaJet contract they had signed. They ate sh 8 Million out of it from the public coffers' AC. This calls for an immediate and thorough investigation because we can't just take their word and go on. The Anti corruption commission and the Auditor General's offices should intercept those records and scrutinize them. If we're gonna be loosing sh 27 M every two months, how much are we going to loose in five years?
