Re: [wanabidii] Interview Question

Mngonge,

Such a question is only intended to see if you're someone who learns from mistakes. Of course each of us has failed at something in our lives one would be lying or has poor memory to say that he/she has never failed at anything.

The trick is to choose something totally unrelated to the job you're applying for. You difine the event/project and also define what you were trying to achieve and what outcome would have constituted failure. You define failure as you perceived it then !!!!!  If coming number 1 in a race was your goal, then coming number 2 would constitute failure !!!!!!

You show how  you made all the effort, practiced ate well and did everything right but ended up number 3 in the race. You failed !!!!  Then you learned that all the major runners train at high-altitude !!!  So from now on, should you want to compete again, you would do everything you did plus train at high-altitude !!!!

This has been a very challenging question to me too, I don't know what is the aim of such question. Suppose you say I don't remember any greatest failure in my life be it social or job career

You are in a job interview and you're asked:

Tell me your greatest failure, one incident/project you consider your greatest failure so far ?

How would you answer this question to your advantage ?
