Some myths have it that man evolved from monkeys! Perhaps its the turn of devolution to monkeys where biological processes will see the mating of the monkey and the man bring forth a creature that will also marry a monkey and with time, we shall have monkeys as man disappears like Dinosaurs.
 
If such cannot happen in Ugenya,u will some day get in laws who will "civilize" some unto the monkey culture so as to get some assimilation!

Pastor is attributing the whole thing to the guy straying away from God. He has not talked about a mental illness. But you know what? The evidence from that region about such things is so overwhelming that one is tempted to believe this story.

What could be causing these things? Not enough women or the men just fear approaching women? I don't think mental illnesses can be this pervasive in one region. There has got to be an explanation. Stresses of life? Or simply a twisted sense of adventure? Mtume !!!

Sunday 25th August 2013 - Residents of Kiamwathi village in Nyeri County are in shock after a man brought a monkey home and chased his family away claiming to be in love with it.

Shadrack Kinuthia, an Engineering graduate from JKUAT arrived home yesterday carrying a monkey and started kissing it. He caressed it telling the wife to pack and leave since he wanted to marry the animal.

The wife and the daughters were shocked and left the house to inform other neighbours thinking that he might be going insane.

Kinuthia openly confessed to be in love with the monkey and hugged it all the time. He said that he had been having s*x with it and very soon he will be a father again. He laid the ugly creature on his bed sending the wife out of their room.

Residents reported the matter to the area administrator who arrested him and he may undergo a mental examination to establish the state of his mind. The monkey was rescued by the Kenya Wildlife Service officers.
