QUESTIONS WE MUST ASK ON MPEKETONI AND MAJEMBENI ATTACKS
#1-Is it possible to ferry 50 terrorists from Somali to a rural town in Kenya-130 kilometers from Somali border without detection?
#2-To ferry 50 terrorists, it would require a whole bus or 4 Nissans (each carrying 16 passengers).Wouldn't that be a logistical nightmare? Why would they leave other soft targets along the way and specifically target Mpeketoni and Majembeni? What is unique in these two locations?
#3-Why would they burn the so called minibuses it is claimed they used to get to Mpeketoni? Knowing very well without them, they would walk for more than 130 kilometers to the nearest Somali border? After committing a crime, isn't the priority of every criminal to run away without detection or arrest?
#3-Even if Alshabab claimed responsibility, does it rule out a local Alshabab arm of the group (allied extremist groups) in Kenya, capable of being hired and given instructions?
#5-Photos of some politicians with young men caught carrying Alshabab flag at Masjid Musa Mosque have been circulating online; why would leaders who claim they want to serve the interest of this country go to bed with people who in one way or the other have been associated with a group whose intentions is clear-to kill Kenyans and to destroy the country. Imagine Obama being guarded or parading young men with Swastika tattoos on a visit to Israel?
#6-Why would the attackers largely single out members of one community, their interest and locations?
#7-On Alshabab claiming responsibility, stories carried by the Guardian, the Telegraph, the New York Times, Fox News, ABC, Sky News, Reuters, Los Angeles Times, BBC, Aljazeera and CNN attribute their source to our local media. Besides, to those that attribute their source from Alshabab twitter account or anonymous websites in Somali, what is the veracity of these sources? Isn't possible to run a website or a twitter account even from Nairobi or Mombasa and pretend you are making your posts from Somali? If you follow the posts on - (https://twitter.com/HSMPress_/status/478880742374510594) you will be left with more questions than answers. The account seems more concerned about a re known Kenyan politicians and Linda Ogutu booties than terrorists activities.Check it for yourself.
#8-Witnesses reported that the attackers in the town of Mpeketoni spoke Somali and yelled "God is great."Can we use such lines to attribute the attack on Alshabab in a Muslim and Arab/Somali dominated county?
