[wanabidii] RE: *** Dear Believer .....

Harry,
There's nothing like "feelings in the brain"! The brain does not feel! It only interprets sensory feelings and turns them into actions by those parts of the body responsible for dealing with feelings.
We do not "feel" God. We experience Him, we hear Hear Him!
Only when you have strong faith in Him can you start to know Him and believe in Him.
You love quoting "scientific studies" without giving references or by whom those studies have been done, e.g. which authoritative journal has the scientific findings. I only agree with you that "talking to myself" is like talking to God. True because believers know that God lives in them and they in Him! The Holy Spirit of God lives in all those who believe in Him. So, true, to talk to God might take deep meditation and a deep look into one's self to bring the mind, NOT brain, to a situation of understanding and communing with God through the Spirit.
Harry, keep writing and seeking God. You'll soon find God once you put your mind to finding Him. DON'T just think of God, look for Him. Feelings are only fleeting emotions that will not lead you to God. And remember, you cannot equate BELIEVE with FEELINGS!
May God help you start believing God and you'll findHim.
Mathias

Dear Believer,
In your brain, those feelings of God that you think are divine sparks, are actually just you talking to yourself. Scientific studies have shown that when you think of God you are using the same part of your brain that you use to think about yourself.

You are internalizing your perception of God and then filtering it through your own mind and interpreting it as an objective response from a higher power.
Snap out of it and just admit that what you call God is nothing more than a projection of your own thoughts and desires labeled as divine truth to create the illusion of deserved authority and respect.
