[wanabidii] Paul Ryan didn’t prepare for Laughing Joe Biden in debate prep

Maurice et all,

Okay, I can buy Maurice's and Moturi's response and that sounds good. That part down there where you are comparing Raila's situation to that of Obama got me worked up........I thought that was your secret weapon to drag this campaign to mud.......However, Raila's situation with that of President Obama are two contrast apart......and they share no common values and therefore, both must be handled separately in argument and reparation.

Again, with facts and substances, President Obama acknowledging that he is People's employee, he devoted himself to deliver services as per peoples mandate….which is why, President Obama simply needs to reassure his employers (who are the people) that he qualifies for recommendation to complete his second term. His employment card according to Job Specification and mandated assignments, speaks for itself......and in Review for Re-Certification of Report Card Performance, he got tick off credentials value for excellent honorary performance in most crucial undertaking he embarked to save the country from economic collapse, the impact which did not show immediately but indicators show that it is picking up for which has put him at higher level on top of other aspirant candidates seeking the same job in comparison.

President Obama therefore has an edge and therefore qualifies to be considered for the second term of four more years....His records gave him the booster and that he can be relied and trusted to complete the Job he started. His road map strategic plan for Reform Act towards Economic Recovery is clear in substances and its sustainability is already bearing fruits in areas of Jobs and Housing and it must be understood that the damage that was inflicted had a severe injury to the economy and this was as a result of piled up situation that accumulated for close to 40 years or more. But because of discipline, intelligence and wisdom he applied in his work, President Obama was able to save America and the world from going helter skelter into worse-case destruction.

I am proud of President Obama's acumen (Quickness, accuracy, and keenness of judgment or insight), ability and expertise......just know that, America leading the world to tranquility and vitality, will bounce and rejuvenate faster and Peace, happiness and Unity will bring forth light to the world where competition and challenges will be played on fair mutual level playing field for common good of all.......Human Rights dignity and value not withstanding, will reduce the Global terror, pain and sufferings that were created and inflicted by the selfish and greedy who focused on special interest gains domineering Global monopoly without Regulatory prospects as guiding principles......they are the reason for hardship, careless killings, unreasonable escalated wars with Global economic distabilities.......but under President Obama's leadership, a level playing field guarded with good measure for security will consequently offer Opportunities to all without discrimination and the sky shall be the limit.........

Trust me, President Obama will win, people (his employers) love him and please take a look at reports from the ground as early voting begin to trickle..........Lets just be realistic and we shall not go wrong......

Employers want their business done well..........employers are concerned about responsible service delivery and they dont play with employees who cannot be trusted or are unsure and have no specifics of substance that can match the job discription. They will waste no time with those who base their arguments on lies.........Employers want substantive actuals and employers definately want to see good work performance where Flip Floppers cannot have a chance or an advantage...........These are the facts of the matter.........

Cheers everybody......!!!

Obama grabs wide lead among those who have already voted: Reuters/Ipsos poll

By Andy Sullivan | Reuters – 4 hrs ago

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney are neck and neck in opinion polls, but there is one area in which the incumbent appears to have a big advantage: those who have already cast their ballots.

Obama leads Romney by 59 percent to 31 percent among early voters, according to Reuters/Ipsos polling data compiled in recent weeks.

The sample size of early voters is relatively small, but the Democrat's margin is still well above the poll's credibility interval - a measurement of polls' accuracy - of 10 percentage points. (full graphic: http://bit.ly/RmeEen)

With the November 6 election just more than three weeks away, 7 percent of those surveyed said they had already voted either in person or by mail (full graphic: http://bit.ly/SWm5YR).

The online poll is another sign that early voting is likely to play a bigger role this year than in 2008, when roughly one in three voters cast a ballot before Election Day. Voting is already under way in some form in at least 40 states.

Both the Obama and Romney teams are urging supporters to vote as soon as possible so the campaigns can focus their door-knocking and phone-calling operations on those who are still undecided or need more prodding to get to the polls.

Early voting was a big part of Obama's victory over Republican John McCain in 2008, and his campaign aims to repeat its success this year.

The Reuters/Ipsos poll indicates the campaign's efforts appear to be paying off, although its advantage could erode as Election Day approaches.

The Obama campaign says it is leading among early voters in Iowa and Ohio, and trailing by a smaller margin than 2008 in several other swing states. It expects its early voting efforts will help the campaign weather a blitz of negative ads expected to saturate the airwaves in battleground states in the final weeks before November 6.

"We've made early investments in battleground states - where we've been registering folks and keeping an open conversation going with undecided voters for months - to build a historic grass-roots organization that will pay off when the votes are counted," spokesman Adam Fetcher said.

ROMNEY CAMPAIGN CITES POST-DEBATE ENTHUSIASM

The Romney campaign says it is leading or even with Obama among early voters in several closely fought battleground states, including Florida, North Carolina, Colorado, Nevada and New Hampshire. The campaign says it has seen a spike in volunteering and voter enthusiasm among Republicans since Romney's strong debate performance against Obama on October 3.

"Not only are we keeping pace with the vaunted Obama machine, but we believe our ground game will put us over the finish line on Election Day," said Rich Beeson, the Romney campaign's political director.

George Mason University professor Michael McDonald, an expert on early voting, said it was difficult to tell how the results so far could affect the outcome of the race.

In North Carolina and Maine, Democrats seem to be voting in higher numbers than 2008, while Republicans seem to be voting in slightly lower numbers than four years ago, he said.

In Ohio, where voters do not register by party, early voting appears to be higher than normal in both Republican and Democratic areas, McDonald said.

In Iowa, about twice as many registered Democrats as Republicans have voted by now - a potential warning sign for the Romney campaign, he said.

"Romney needs a change here. The good news for Romney is day to day, incrementally, the numbers shift in his direction, so he may be able to catch up," McDonald said.

The accuracy of Reuters/Ipsos online polls is measured using a credibility interval. For the 6,704 people who were asked whether they had voted yet, the credibility interval was 1.3 points. For the 361 people who replied that they had already cast their ballots, the credibility interval was 10 points.

Judy,

I don't think you're reading and nderstanding my postings on this
subject very well. i'm on Obama's side on this thing. Sometimes it's
ok to just take what people say literally. I doubt if there's any
Kenyan anywhere in the world who wants Obama to lose. I would find
such a Kenyan to be a very bizarre character. Obama puts Kenya on the
map and we're very proud of him.
Please don't read things that are not there.

Judy,

I guess we can all concede that Obama did not do well in his debate
with Romney. He just looked very bored and not really there mentally.
But I'm thinking that he had been advised not to appear too arrogant
and to look presidential. He just overdid that restraint.

But that Ryan won the debate against Biden !!! That is really asking
us to believe the unbelievable. i watched that Biden-Ryan debate 3
times and I'm yet to see how he won the debate. Infact I walked out of
watching it with an impression that Biden had given him a knockout.
Biden called him out on every lie and did not let him off the hook the
way Obama let Romney get away with lie after lie.
Unfortunately, it is the TV Analysts later on that are convincing the
electorate that Ryan won. These Analysts have now become part of a
campaign strategy in US campaigns. A candidate can fall asleep on the
podium during debates but a savvy Analyst would spin that to say that
the candidate was in deep thought and looked presidential !!

Funny thing, we see the same thing on these forums. Once some
Raila-hater has said something about Raila that's not true, other
Raila-haters jump in and support that lie and before you know it,
Raila-haters have 'won'. This is the herd mentality tha's going on in
the US and it's working against Obama right now.

Courage

Folks,

To say Romney extends lead over Obama is totally false and fake.
It was vividly clear Paul Ryan in distress which is why he drunk gallons
of water but tried to shift gear to play Joe Biden by asking if Joe was in
duress. Joe was very calm and composed and Joes' body languaged
proved just that.......

President Obama must prepare to deliver solid jabs to settle Romney
and Ryan whimsical attitude.......

Inclusively, People's vote will prove this chicken falsehood. Be on the
lookout people !!

You know Biden won because the GOP is calling it a draw. If Ryan had even a slightly superior performance, they'd be crowing about their victory. But even the anti-science GOP can't muster the gall to try to claim a Ryan victory last night.
Biden did what he had to do in laying out the case for a 2nd Obama term. All Obama has to do is run with what Biden said last night (in his own style, of course), and expose Romney/Ryan for the flip-flopping liars that they are.
For those who support Ryan, where are the specifics to support your argument? I heard none in this video. If you are a serious commentator you would be more forthcoming with substantive arguments.

A CBS instant poll of undecided voters taken immediately after tonight's vice presidential debate found that Vice President Joe Biden handily beat Republican hopeful Paul Ryan among a group of undecided voters.
Biden got 50 percent of the vote, whereas Ryan earned 31 percent. Nineteen percent said it was a tie.

Biden's smirks, Ryan's thirst: Web weighs in on VP debate
By Eun Kyung Kim, TODAY contributor
You didn't need a television to get a readout on the performance of the vice presidential candidates Thursday night, so long as there was Internet access.
Social media reaction during the one-and-only debate between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan captured each person's body tics and zingers.
The Twitter handle @LaughinJoeBiden emerged within minutes of the debate and noted every time the vice president guffawed or smirked at a comment by his Republican opponent. "Laughin Joe" attracted more than 8,000 followers by the end of the night. Another handle, @BidenSmirk, also quickly appeared online after the debate began.
Social media also featured an exchange of photos and animated GIFs of Biden laughing, smirking, and throwing up his hands. Biden's two mentions of the Irish description "malarkey" began a Twitter hashtag that immediately began to trend nationally.

DANVILLE, Ky. -- Paul Ryan prepared for several possibilities during his weeks-long debate practice with a Joe Biden stand-in, but arguing with a laughing opponent wasn't one of them.

"The laughter certainly was not something that we expected," Mitt Romney campaign spokesman Michael Steel told Yahoo News after the debate. "On the policy front, I think it was precisely what we expected.

— Don Lemon (@DonLemonCNN) October 12, 2012
"I actually happen to have "malarkey" in the drinking game! Oh geez..." tweeted political blogger and Wonkette founder Ana Marie Cox.

Jeff Haynes / Reuters

"Malarkey" began a Twitter hashtag after the vice president invoked the term.
And while the vice president definitely generated the most lively online response, he wasn't necessarily the definitive victor of the debate, according to online pundits.
Who was? The person refilling Ryan's water glass. Online observers noted how often the Republican drank from his frosted tumbler.

Pool / Getty Images

Paul Ryan's frequent sips of water drew wide Web comment.
The parody handle @PaulRyanGosling tweeted: "Hey girl, I'm not taking nervous sips of water, I'm drinking every time Biden laughs at me."
Another photograph that circulated during the evening was a photograph of Biden holding the hand written notes he had taken. A close-up of his scribbles detailed a list that included "no apology," and "Egyptian people." It wasn't clear if Biden meant to broadcast his notes.

David Goldman / AP

The phrases "no apology" and "Egyptian people" were clearly visible among Biden's notes.
As for ABC's Martha Raddatz, she drew widespread praise for nailing her role as the evening's moderator, particularly in comparison to the way Jim Lehrer handled the first presidential debate.
Hey Presidential Debate Commission, maybe next time you should give the women moderators the headline debates. #vpdebate #RaddatzRocks

Krystal Ball of msnbc's "The Cycle" announced she had a "New girl crush. #vpdebate #RaddatzRocks" while actress Eva Longoria tweeted "Martha Raddatz is best moderator ever!!!" And on Friday morning, Howard Kurtz, media commentator for Newsweek and The Daily Beast, declared "Martha Raddatz the clear winner of last night's VP debate."
Meanwhile, there was at least one prominent viewer of the debate who did not tweet about it. But judging from this photo from the White House Flickr feed, he was watching with great interest from Air Force One:
