I want to admit that Kenyans are a funny lot. At the grassroots level,we promote clan-ism (this house versus that one). Have u ever wondered why certain projects are incomplete - white elephants! Its Because the chairman happens to come from the other house and either intentionally goes slow or the host house refuses to cooperate to a "foreigner" in charge.
Such nonsense are well drawn from the national fora where "our son" must represent "our community" even if he is a criminal.
Its hardly a week when Hon.Waititu who is a front runner for Governorship for the Nairobi county,a metropolitan world - is he going to serve "his community" alone!.
The worst was speculated as to a possible "revenge" by the Maa community in which Nkaisery - an old man,that is not known to play hooliganism has dared the devil of "other communities alias foreigners" not to salivate for some coveted seats.
Is it time to play xenophobia in our country!

"This is a decision I am relaying to all our neighbours whom we have accepted to live together. It will not be fair for other communities who have their own counties out there to come and wrestle power from the indigenous people. The rights of the local people should be respected for the sake of harmony," Nkaissery said.
He asked the communities should respect the decision without raising any question. He was speaking after touring development projects in Ildamat in his Kajiado Central Constituency.
Nkaissery however said other communities are free to vie for parliamentary, county wards and others at the grassroots. He said although the Maasai have been perceived as peaceful people, some injustices such as wrestling power from them could trigger misunderstanding between the community and the perceived outsiders.
"No Maasai has ever gone to Nyeri or Kisumu to express interest in governor or senator seats. Likewise, other communities in Kajiado should refrain from imagining that they will seek those positions without angering the Maasai," added Nkaissery.
The Kajiado Central legislator said the Maasai leaders have a responsibility to defend the rights of their people. He took a swipe at Uhuru Kenyatta's TNA for allegedly "buying" out all the Maasai leaders and making them move from their current parties.
He could not however substantiate his claims when he was asked who had been bought and even refused to clarify more on the allegations. Nkaissery, however, dismissed TNA's allegations that it is gaining popularity and replacing ODM' in the county.
"Uhuru is pouring money in the county. What we saw in the just concluded by-election in Kajiado North was just a euphoria that will not go beyond next year's general election," he added. He was accompanied by all ODM civic leaders from the constituency.
