[wanabidii] Re: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Re: AfriCanID | Re: [KOL] South Sudanese in Diaspora Condemns Yoweri Museveni...

My People:

Neutrality in the face of criminality is criminal.  When two parties are showing violence to each other, either offensive or defensive violence, then there are always still the possibility of identifying aggressors (aggressive offenders and defenders) and victims on both sides.

We must side the victims - on both sides - and be against the aggressors - on both sides.  Neutrality is NOT an option.

And there you have it.

Neutrality is fine  but accenting "internal affairs" is a nuance we know.

The ultimate goal of intervention is to stop the human calamity; not to decide who is right or wrong.  When arms are laid down, reasonable people can seek solutions; they do not jump in the bushes to fight and the government does not kill opponents who have  legitimate rights to disagree.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with a call for neutrality!

It is rather unfortunate that from the safety of America, eating three square meals a day, a group, under the guise of sovereignty to decide internal affairs, is telling the world that the displaced citizens, the killings and mayhem ought to be of no concern to non- South Sudanese. Nowhere in today's geopolitical dispensations is this type of territorial prerogative an excuse.

The regional governments must intervene to prevent mayhem. Reasonable people will think that all parties must lay down their weapons for peace talk to prevail.

Press Release

Alliance for South Sudanese in Diaspora (ASSD) Condemns Ugandan Yoweri Museveni Involvement in South Sudanese internal Affairs

Alliance for South Sudanese in Diaspora (ASSD) condemns the Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni for his involvement in the internal South Sudanese Affairs. ASSD urge all Eastern African Countries to stay neutral without meddling in the South Sudanese internal affairs as this may complicate and widen this conflict to the entire region.

ASSD specifically urge Kenya and Ethiopia to stay neutral and not follow what Yoweri Museveni of Uganda is doing in South Sudan. We urge President Museveni to stop using latest weaponry to massacre innocent South Sudanese in the Greater Upper Nile Region and immediately stop aiding Kiir's militants with air support.

We would like to ask the UN, United States of America, African Union, Canada, United Kingdom, and Norway to intervene and ask Uganda to leave South Sudanese alone.

The Alliance urge Ugandan forces in South Sudan's soil to leave immediately and failure to do so constitute an invasion and meddling in South Sudan's internal affairs.
