At a press conference held a day after the elections MDC – T leader Morgan Tsvangirai declared the harmonised elections as null and void citing a litany of allegations over the manner in which the polls were held. Meanwhile the SADC and AU observer missions have endorsed the presidential and parliamentary elections as 'free and peaceful' despite some logistical challenges that affected the special vote process and the late availability of the voters' roll.
