If the water tastes salty that means it has an excessive sodium concentration. But I believe the concentration is either at an acceptable level or better. The government would not allow that water to be supplied to the residents if the level of sodium were unacceptable. But I acknowledge that the taste would still be there if the level is just at the acceptable level. I hope this is helpful.
