Friday 27th September 2013 - A female student at Kenyatta University who conned five freshers after 'selling' her hostel room to all of them received a thorough beating from other freshers who teamed up to support their own.
The student, a third year identified as Nancy Oselu had reportedly 'sold' the same room in Nyayo 2 to over five students. She conned all the five that they were the rightful owners of the room only for them to meet while trying to move in.
According to the freshers who were so much confused, Oselu sold them the room after a hostel crisis hit the university. Being new, they did not know how to survive on their own and even how to access rooms outside.
They opted to pay the con to secure a room for themselves.
Sources reveal that the lady conducted the room business online. She met 'buyers' on facebook, gets payment for an elusive room and switches off the phone immediately.
However, she was not lucky since the five girls teamed up and asked help from other male students who willingly accepted. They accosted the lady at her famous joint where she went to hide and attacked her.
Eyewitnesses said that what followed was drama. The student was beaten and her phone crushed completely to be a lesson to other con ladies who take advantage of the freshers.
