(KAMPALA) NEGOTIATING PRODUCTION SHARING AGREEMENTS: Global Academy for Mining, Oil & Gas - Workshop at Sheraton Hotel, Kampala (Uganda) on 7th - 8th August, 2014
May I take this opportunity to request for you to please note that this Regional Workshop is scheduled to take place in Kampala on the 7th - 8th August, 2014.
Key guest speakers will be:
- Ambassador, Chairperson & Founder of the Global Academy for Mining, Oil & Gas
- Representatives from the Ministries of Energy, Minerals and Environment from across East Africa,
- Commercial sector mining, oil and gas companies;
- Senators from across the region;
- and many more.
This 2 day workshop will focus on identifying some of the major considerations governments of oil producing countries should focus on when entering into negotiations will mining, gas and oil companies, including issues which must be addressed prior to entering into negotiations. The importance of well-conceived and well-structured strategies for negotiation are crucial for the success of resource-rich developing countries.

The cost of attendance at the above workshop is USD $950 per participant, with 15% discount offered to representatives of Law Societies, National Revenue Authorities and Government Organisations along with a further 5% student/graduate intake discount.
