[wanabidii] Mutula Links Death Threats to ICC

Good people !!!

We all want unity, peace and love and nothing will stop us from
going to the roots of who, how and why, the death of Mr. Mutula
Kilonzo had to go this way, so unity for common good of all can
be achieve.

I cried, but the time for crying must be replaced by action so to
uproot the Wickedness and Evil that is destabilizing us from
engaging constructively in progressive development agenda and
why our lives must face such painful and pathetic termination
which is destroying our togetherness and happiness in Kenya.
This Evil selfish cancer is killing, destroying and is exterminating
the whole people of Kenya. Whoever it is that is doing this act
of inhumanity must be deeply possesed by wicked evil spirit
because, no one in their right minds will destroy that of their own
with such cruelty to simply pave way for an enemy to steal and
destroy Black mankind or push people of Africa Decent into the
SLAVERY situation we struggled and left behind 50 years ago.
Go back to History basics........The enemy we are talking about
is the enemy we all know. It is not a surprise. Their intentions
are corruptly facilitated undercover with our political leadership in Kenya and in the whole of Africa. They already dug a hole for us to get in. Because of greed, they dont want us to be organized and share fairly wealth and resource distribution responsibly regulated through checks and balances but plan to steal Africa's wealth and resources for their selfish greed where they take everything from Africa for free without accountability or paying taxes. They corruptly engage in taking everything from us and
basically we are to remain with nothing. They believe that, if
they steal our unity, peace, wealth and resources, we shall be
destroyed and when all Africa is in a sad, sorry and helpless
situation, we shall have been severely beaten down and torn
apart that nothing will remain in us to give us strength to regain posture and stand up again. We shall have no good health
to challenge or repair our lost glory.

This is not right. It is wrong and truely evil.

Does poverty levels in Africa and the carceration we have been forced into through such intimidation and oppressiveness concern you???

It is therefore unacceptable which is why, this evil wickedness is
thoroughly condemned by all community of Black Society all over
the world and we shall not bow down to allow lives to be lost or
shattered in this manner anymore. Mutula is the last blow and I
cannot take it anymore........

With every strength and breath left in us unite for the sake of
our Human Rights, dignity, livelihood and survival. Let us all
confront this wicked monster which is about to destroy Kenya
and the whole of Africa and put it back to its rightful place where
it will re-think value for mutual shared value and respect before
it consumes us all.

Divided, we are defeated; but united we shall be strong and God
shall lead the way to "Black Power Movement" and help us to
fight this social, economic and political injustices laid upon the heads of God's children in the African Community..........

Tighten your belts good people, we must race for justice. It
is our right to live a honorable justified life independent from
exploitation, oppressivenes and the injustice of carceration without evidence of guilt. Poverty was not our prescribed
option for life. for our future never to be silenced again........

If I were the family, I would hire a private pathologist from another country, e.g. the US or UK, to do the investigation. Kenyan pathologists are not trustworthy at all because they have a history of reporting what they have been instructed to report. Remember Robert Ouko who broke his own knees, shot himself on the head the set himself on fire !!!!!

On the face of it, this matter should not be so complex as that of Saitoti!
The pathologists should quickly tell us the cause! If "natural" causes, then it is ease! If suspected foul play investigations can be undertaken! If no headway, then an inquest like that of Ms Keino! If political that you can be sure will not be resolved in our lifetime!

Alpine,

I think we can rule out natural causes in this death. According to the cook who first found him, he was foaming on the mouth. That is a classic sign of poisoning. The next question is: Who administered the poison ? Did he doi it himself or did someone do it for him? For what reason?

Mutula Links Death Threats to ICC

Mutula links death threats to ICC: June 30 2012

"Fear is the key that is used to control the human will and resolve. Brave people die only once but cowards die very many times," he said.

Education minister Mutula Kilonzo has attributed the threatening text messages sent to him and members of his family to his stand on a number of politically sensitive issues. In an interview with the Sunday Nation, Mr Kilonzo, the former Justice minister, cited his outspoken stand on Kenyan cases at the International Criminal Court (ICC), free education funds and constitutional reforms as possible reasons he was being targeted with death threats.

He spoke on the sidelines of the Kenya Secondary School Heads Association meeting in Mombasa on Thursday. Last week, the minister told Parliament that he had received two messages from unknown people, threatening to kill him, on Tuesday. Mr Kilonzo said that his wife and daughter had also received similar messages.

"I am not like Martha [Karua] who bowed out of the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs under pressure. I am a hard nut to crack.

That is why they removed me from the ministry because of my stand on ICC trials," he said. "I am the first sitting Cabinet minister to receive such messages in the history of this nation." Mr Kilonzo vowed to get on with his life, saying that conceding to the threats would hand the people behind the messages a leeway to control him. "Fear is the key that is used to control the human will and resolve. Brave people die only once but cowards die very many times," he said.

"Their messages are horrifying for a soft heart because they threatened to rape my wife and daughter before killing me in cold blood." Mr Kilonzo said he received the first message at his Jogoo House office in Nairobi on his way to Parliament but ignored it. The second message followed at 4.20 p.m. while he was in the House. "This time round I could not keep it to myself so I shared the two messages with my Cabinet colleagues and Speaker Kenneth Marende," he said.

The sender, who did not identify himself or herself, claimed to be working under the instructions of a 'boss' he named and who works at a firm on State House Road. The boss, according to the sender, has connections to the Al-Shabaab terror group.

The sender alleged involvement in the recent kidnapping of Imenti Central MP Gitobu Imanyara, the bombing of Assanands House and the explosion at a church in Ngara, Nairobi. The minister recorded statements with the police, the CID director and the National Security Intelligence Services (NSIS) on Wednesday after consultations with close associates. While at the Justice ministry, Mr Kilonzo was outspoken for his firm stand on the ICC trials and repeatedly advised Kenyans facing charges to cooperate with the court.

Judy,

If love has failed, where do we resort to? it sounds romantic but very untrue that love is shared...as of God.!
I prefer we resort to creating laws and systems that penalises the wicked...those whose love is missused daily condemn those who preach it unreasonably!
May the rule of law govern over lost LOVE!

Good People !

Mutula's sudden death is shocking and is hard to believe. There is
need for proper investigation to be done by the government.

The case of Saitoti and Ojode is still very much unresolved and even
if it takes 100 years, history will judge leaders who conceal the truth
very harshly; because God knows every details of events and we trust
that God will reveal them at His own timing.

One fact that we must not overlood is that, we need each other in this
world and God gave us the commandment of LOVE so we can live at
peace with each other enjoying the benefits of Gods creation.

Without planting seeds of Love for happiness, even those Kings and
Royals in high places with all their worldly riches, will never know peace
and Happiness. They will struggle to buy peace and happiness with
lots money, but because Peace and Happiness is a gift from God, however
rich the wicked and evil shall be, they will have none. It is because, God
cannot be bribed.

If we dignify, honor, value, Love and respect each other as Gods valued
work for creation, which we are duty bound to love and cherish through
doing good, then we will not engage in hate, wickedness and in doing bad
to others. We will stick within the principles of Love commandments, doing
good through sharing and caring for one another.

In so doing, Happiness, respect, and honor shall remain at our door-steps
every time we come in and when we go out all the days of our lives and
this world shall remain a wonderful place to live enjoying in all happiness
and in goodness of life. There shall be no need to go to the mountain tops
in search for peace, unity or happiness. Because of Love, all shall be
available from simply asking for it........Because the word of God says, ask
and it shall be given unto you.......... Seek, and ye shall find.........

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, let us change our hearts and attitudes
and begin to start doing good to each other. Let us see God in each and
every humankind and our lives will commend each other to the fulfillment of
love; the purpose of Gods Creation. Remember, No One shall live for ever!
I got shocked to hear of Kilonzo Musyoka's death but I believe he had made
peace with his Maker and he is resting. But if his death came from
someones hands, Woe unto that person, for he/she shall not find rest or
peace as he/she shall meet with the wrath of God who is the auther and
giver of life.

Let us remember the family of Kilonzo Mutula and Pray to God that he
surround them with the peace and comfort that no man can give and
provide them with the wisdom and strength to overcome this trying moment.
I believed Mutula Kilonzo was given a mission on his last days to open
ways and be a symbol Roll Model for Democracy.........and when God
allows the arm of the wicked to take his life, there is a lesson that we must
learn. This gives us more reason to fight harder and protect and preserve
good principles of good democratic establishment with just rule of law.
I am lost for words, R.I.P Kilonzo Mutula and may God have his way......
I am truely saddened........

Mutula had served Kenya in various other capacities since he joined politics.

Pastor Birai:

I think it is the Central Govt responsible for security but leaders must speak in one voice. Most of those groups as in the case of Mungiki lose their sanity when they turn against the same people who are suffering like them. They dont even have justification to kill the rich but listen Gloria on who died on their hands? I may sympathize abit on petty thieves stealing due to hunger but when you destroy property, kill and maim others, then you should not be allowed to live. What we need to avoid is mob justice but this will happen if no one is willing to help. We will see community groups being formed but they have in Central (Kirinyaga for example) used the goodwill to also kill those they dont like. Fortunately, they provide some security and flush out criminal guns. The police may be abit neutral even when they get the gangs and finish them on the spot. I prefer they nab them to get details on their accomplishes.

FULL PLAY: Shackles of Doom as Performed in Mombasa
Published on Apr 22, 2013
This is the play which the Kenyan government does not want you to see. View it here and thank me in the comments below.
Good to hear that Njeri, Njoroge's etc are busy selling these CD's.What you forget to remember is that the more CD's are sold, the more enlightened the Kenyans will be-as everyone will afford to buy one-and hence reflect on the rot that has been going on in this country. I am also planning to burn more CD's and distribute freely, to the remaining poor people, such that they enjoy this nice play(with lots of reflection).
If this play is set on the oil industry of Turkana I think it left one key component of the shackles-The multi-national oil companies. I think the current "true-kanas" are multi-nationals and not the tribes insinuated here. This lead me to the second observation, in as much as this play has some truth it is overly stereotyped. I don't think stereotypes fits to be called creativity. It is good that the court allowed us to see it so that we can critique it. Caveat, am not from Wamaitha's tribe

Play disqualified from drama festivals over ethnic undertones
Published on Apr 4, 2013
http://www.ntv.co.ke
The Ministry of Education officials has disqualified a winning play from the National Schools and Colleges Drama Festival set for Mombasa later this month.According to the Kenya Schools and Colleges Drama Festival Executive Secretary Sirengo Khaemba, the play by Butere Girls in Western Kenya did not meet the national values of cohesion and integration. And as NTV's Ouko Okusah reports, Cleophas Malala the man behind the script titled shackles of doom has maintained that his piece of art is not laced with tribal and ethnic undertones as claimed.
'Shackles of Doom' for play on sharing of natural wealth
Cleophas Malala is a politician and a scriptwriter, but his play has been adjudged to be politically incorrect.
The drama, 'Shackles of Doom', which depicts unequal distribution of resources and dominance of top positions by main ethnic groups, will not be staged at the national drama festivals, despite topping the western region contest.
The 27-year-old holder of a Master of Performing Arts Degree and Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, is also the Mariakalo Ward Representative in Kakamega County.
Current tribulations
Mr Malala says his plays are motivated by his desire to fight for the rights of the oppressed.
Last year, Riara Springs Academy clinched the national title with his play 'Godless'.
The same school led in Nairobi which another of his scripts 'Delta of Turmoil', which talks about the plight of the Maasai girl.
But according to the playwright, his current tribulations are not isolated.
"Over the years, I have been scripting drama for several schools, which have been performing well in the festivals. Apparently, there are individuals who have threatened to finish me in the past. It seems this time round they have had their way.
"In the zonal, district and regional competitions the play by Butere Girls emerged the winner, now someone thinks it has a political twist," he adds.
The politician explains that the play was motivated by unequal distribution of resources in the country.
The playwright said he was ready to amend the play's script, and asked the National Drama Committee to lift the ban.
"I fight for the rights of the oppressed, that is why I choose not to look for white collar jobs, but instead concentrate on fighting for the welfare of those who don't have avenues to do so," Mr Malala argues.
Butere District Education quality assurance officer Isaac Ngaya said he watched the play and found no offending sections that warranted censorship.
"I personally found the play good although there are levels someone else may have found offending," said Mr Ngaya.
One of the adjudicators at the regional level, Prof Christopher Odhiambo of Moi University, said their role is not to censure but to suggest improvements in case a play contains offending information.
"We had suggested the use of more imagery, allegory and metaphor to achieve the level of persuasion that appeared abrasive," Prof Odhiambo said.
'Shackles of Doom' depicts a film shot in the land of the 'Kanas', who refer to themselves as the 'True Kanas'. Their land is rich in oil, but they are ignorant of the treasure that lies beneath their soil.
A delegation arrives to their land and offers a beautiful lady called Wamaitha, to be married off to Lopush, who is a 'Kana' in exchange of a piece of land where they can settle.
Wamaitha is three weeks pregnant when the delegation comes knocking, and Kimani who is purported to be her guardian is responsible for it.
Wamaitha is married off against her will.
Her community, with great determination and strong will, construct the "Mafuta Oil Refinery Company".
Hiring at the company is biased and based on nepotism. The 'Kanas' demand equal opportunities, but only one of their own is considered for a watchman post.
Then nepotism and unequal distribution of resources sets the two communities against each other, degenerating into a full-blown confrontation that leads to death.
Mr Malala says he was inspired by the unequal distribution of resources in the country and the attention given to Turkana after the discovery of oil, yet the area has been marginalised ever since.
"When other plays are done with styles borrowed from other communities, there is never a problem. If they want us to replace the imagery, names and sayings it is fine," he says.
Kakamega County drama secretary Wycliffe Indakwa expressed sadness following the ban.
He said they were committed to ensuring the play was polished as a work of art as opposed to activism.
Mr Malala says he developed the play on the understanding that Literature mirrors the society and his work should be appreciated.
He cited an audit by the Commission for Integration and National Cohesion (NCIC) on distribution of public appointments which showed glaring inequalities in public jobs.
"I am just replaying what happens in our society and even NCIC knows that, so what is my sin?" he wonders.
The Kenya National Drama Festival begins in Mombasa on April 15.

Mutula Kilonzo Threatened By Househelp
Published on Jul 11, 2012
A house help spent last night in remand after admitting in court that she sent death threats through a sms to education minister Mutual Kilonzo. 25 year-old Irene Nduku however claims that she was acting on orders from her boss who was allegedly behind the recent Moi Avenue, Ngara and Mombasa blasts. And as sylvia Chebet reports, the house help is now due for sentencing on the 25th of this month.
Go after Boniface Mutuiwa who instructed her on sending that text, go for bigger fish. And if the govt. can trace the source of that text, why cant they help the OMONDI'S who'se daughter was kidnapped almost 7 months ago and have been sending mpesa to them captives.

Mutula Kilonzo start to lobby Kamba MPs to Join Jubilee

Ever the smart man, Mutula Kilonzo has hatched a new plan to undermine Kalonzo. It is widely known that Mutula has nothing but disdain for Musyoka. He is fabulously rich and has the brains that Kalonzo cannot match.

Now, after ensuring that kalonzo is out of parliament, Mutula is currently rolling out a plan of bringing all Kamba MPs to support Jubilee. Mutula knew that Jubilee would win but he, and Muthama, bludgeoned Kalonzo into cord to drive him into political death.

With the former VP now out of picture, he now want to lead the Kamba people back to Jubilee. Uhuru and Ruto announced the 18 people cabinet instead of the maximum 22 in order to leave space for expected entrance of the Kamba.

In Summary
  • Country given three months ultimatum to pass legislation or face unspecified consequences
The US has put Kenya on a blacklist of countries that do not support the fight against terrorism.
And it has given Kenya a three-month ultimatum to enact laws that criminalise financing of terrorist activities.
However, Washington did not indicate what measures it will take if Kenya fails to fully implement the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act and pass other legislation that criminalises terrorism and its financing within three months.
Justice minister Mutula Kilonzo on Tuesday said that the Financial Action Task Force, a US team, had disclosed that Kenya had fallen short of some measures to ensure that the legislation was up to date.
The absence of the laws risks the lives of Kenya Defence Forces soldiers in Somali as it leaves a window for terrorists to raise money at a time when KDF is trying to weaken the militants by curtailing their sources of income. (READ: Kenyan soldiers willing to die for their colleagues)
This is also considered as the driving force behind several travel advisories usually issued against the country. Tourists will also be hesitant to visit the country until the relevant laws are passed.
"This undermines our ability to attract investors who maybe afraid of using our banks," Mr Kilonzo said.
The minister said that Kenya had been advised to come up with proper legislation on terrorism to cover five critical areas. The first are laws to adequately criminalise terrorism financing.
The other is to ensure that a fully operational Financial Intelligence Unit is established while the third one is to establish a legal framework for identifying and freezing terrorists' assets. They are also expected to raise awareness within the law enforcers and also implement effective, proportionate and dissuasive sanctions to anybody who does not comply with this legislation.
The minister, however, said that save for a few amendments that are needed, the country had enacted all the necessary laws like the Prevention of Organised Crime Act and the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act, among others.
He also said the CBK had issued the necessary directives to banks regarding the legislation.
Official's visit
The US Department of Treasury Official in Charge of Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes, Mr Luke Bronin, was in the country last week and met Internal Security minister George Saitoti, Central Bank governor Njuguna Ndung'u, acting Finance minister Njeru Githae and representatives of Kenya's financial sector .
Mr Bronin said it was time Kenya addressed the strategic deficiencies in anti-money laundering and combated the financing of terrorism, which had been highlighted by the international Financial Action Task Force.
"Strengthening anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing laws is now more important and timely than ever," he advised.

I sent death threats to Mutula, admits house-help

NAIROBI, Kenya Jul 11 – A 25-year-old house-help has admitted before a Nairobi Court that she had sent death threats to Education Minister Mutula Kilonzo via text messages.
Irene Thuku told the court on Wednesday that she was instructed by her employer to send the minister the SMS.
According to Thuku her boss, whom she only identified as Boniface has links with the outlawed terror group Al Shabaab and that he was connected to the Assanands House explosion that killed one person and injured scores of others.
The threatening text was sent to the Minister on June 26.
The Court has now directed the State to produce a report of her social status – her family background, marital status, children etc – before sentencing that is scheduled for July 25.
Kilonzo had raised the issue in Parliament about two weeks ago.
The SMS message seen by Capital FM News states in part: "Minister Mutula Kilonzo be ready to die. We were send (sic) by our boss to come to ur place RUNDA this weekend and shot (shot) you to death."
The message contains spelling errors and in some areas the authors use American slang.
"So Mutula be ready to die this coming wkd we will even expose ur whole house in runda," read the chilling message.
The Education Minister claimed that the authors of the threatening messages claimed to be working under someone who carried out grenade attacks in Ngara, Moi Avenue and Mombasa.
The authors of the message go on to claim that "our boss works as a caretaker …on State House Road and that he is da one who send us to threten IMANYARA" ".. He has big connection na ALL-SHABAAB He is our BOSS. We Av done many explosion with him," the SMS message reads.
Kilonzo joins a list of senior government officials who have in recent past claimed to have received threats.
Imenti Central MP Gitobu Imanyara told Parliament in April of an incidence where he was accosted by four men while on his way home late at night.
Imanyara claimed the four men who came out of a stalled car along Crescent Road near State House ordered him to kneel down, face Mt. Kenya and profess his support for a leading presidential candidate failure to which they would chop off his head.
In December last year, the government tightened security around Defence Minister Yussuf Haji and Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim following credible information that they were targeted for assassination by Al Shabaab.
