[wanabidii] RE: [icwmembers] RE: R.I.P OUR BELOVED MAMA GEORGEA BAGUMA

On behalf of ICW Eastern Africa and on my own behalf, I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Georgia, women living with HIV in Tanzania for the loss of a fighter, an advocate and a mother. I knew Georgia long before ICW when she was working with the Tanzania AIDS Commission and was one person who made connections for us with TACAIDS. I know she has fought a fulfilling war but we definitely shall miss her.

May her soul rest in eternal peace and may the seed she sow in Tanzania grow to benefit many more women living with HIV and the entire world.

I Sadly, give information that, our beloved mama Georgia Baguma, who was a board member of the International Community of Women Living with HIV/AIDS ( ICW- Tanzania ) , passed away yesterday 31^st .January.2014. She will be buried at her home in Ubungo Msewe , Dar Es Salaam on Monday, 03^rd , February, 2014 .
We know that she finished her work because she was the first woman in Tanzania to go public with her HIV sero status. Since there , she became a good supporter to other people living with HIV ( In Tanzania , Africa and Global ), especially Women Living with HIV, and community in general.
We loved her, but God loved her more!!
