REPOA's Annual Research Workshop (ARW) is the largest and high profile annual event hosted in Tanzanian since 1996. The main objectives of the event are to disseminate research findings as a contribution towards policy making, to provide peer review as capacity building for researchers and to provide a networking forum for debate and dialogue among stakeholders. Attracting over two hundred researchers, development partners, policy makers and representatives from civil society organisations from Tanzania and internationally, this national forum makes an essential contribution to development in Tanzania. Objective of this workshop: To address the deficit in productive employment and low productivity among the majority of Tanzanians working in low productivity agriculture and informal economic activities and to identify options for managing the enterprise transformation process. The transformation process entails the transition from low productivity to high productivity and dynamic enterprises. Seeking to understand all aspects embraced in the theme, REPOA invites papers and abstracts (in the case of papers on progress) to be presented at the 19th ARW on 9th and 10th April 2014. Applicants Requirements: Applicants must read and understand the concept note available on our website before submitting their papers and abstracts. Deadline for submission: Monday, 17th February, 2014.
