You are very right Maurice.
Kenya with the whole of Africa should emulate to elect leaders who are servants of the people. Like President Obama, leaders should be humble, passionate, committed, respectful, with dignity, not selfish, not greedy; but, allows checks and balances, Transparency and accountability, where Responsibility with Integrity is key to the calling. They must be ready to stand against unacceptable norms but join hands with the majority people to shape destiny. When equipped with these qualities, leaders will remain up up-to-date on top of their task; will stay tactful on top of their game in balancing Public Service Mandate without favor or discrimination of any kind, will invite popular new ideas with innovation to excel and will engage diverse consultative collective bargain in sharing opportunities to encourage and motivate excellence with diverse skills and talents, education, security measures, apply regulatory system that are fair with affordable healthcare to boost and improve livelihood and balance nature with a healthier Peaceful level playing field in a secured united Society.........This is what amounts to a success story.......and is what generates love........This is how it should be.
The character such like that of President Obama does not pride itself neither does it go bullying with self-ego…….It is because a servant is a service person. They make sure that fundamental basics of their service deliverables are accomplished and fulfilled as public/people mandate requires in acceptable measurable specifications and according to their campaign promises…….At the end of the day, they have show-cases report card of their record.
No one said that a gentle, humble, friendly, caring, loving and sharing leader is not strong..........They are the most powerful on earth just like David and Solomon of the Bible Age........Like flower that are beautiful for the eyes with cool scent, they are the salt of the earth..........like magnet, they evoke freshness of life for nature and attracts Peace and Unity we all want for survival and livelihood........

No wonder in Kenya candidates once elected have no use for the electorate; they had already paid you in advance. But in the US, the candidate now has a 'debt' to the supporters and the electorate so they work hard to satisfy the needs of the electorate after being elected.
