Dears Human rights defenders protection & assistance funders,
I hereby submitted to you the present request for your emergency humanitarian assistance to these two human rights defenders colleagues Mrs. Sandra Kasobe Maguy and Kalume Jon Mutombo.
However, we have visited them today then we testify that their situation is now in extreme danger and are at-risk when the threats on their live is not sporadic but rather systematic. They still working as human rights defenders and freelance investigative journalist here in a climate of extreme danger because of they work and profession. They have been repeatedly targeted by Kabila's secret agents deployed in Eastern Africa especially in Uganda and Kenya and they cannot return to DR. Congo they can be victims of several assassination or killing because they denounced and published many reports relating crimes and documenting military involvement in illegal minerals,natural resources including public funds embezzlement and those published are in the Joseph kabila's government. They told us how even Congolese embassy agents pursued them where they are hidden.
We request your assistance for them to rent a small house, food and clothes before to arrange an urgent durable solution for them to get out of Uganda.
