The U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy will meet in open session in Room 902 of the Hart Senate Office Building (First Street at Constitution Avenue, NW) in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, December 11 from 10 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

The Commission Members will discuss the findings and recommendations from its congressionally-mandated Comprehensive Annual Report on U.S. Public Diplomacy and International Broadcasting Activities worldwide, which details the cost, origin and scope of these activities worldwide. Daniel Kimmage, Principal Deputy Coordinator of the Center for Strategic Counterterrorism Communications (CSCC) at the State Department, will also speak about the CSCC's current efforts to counter violent extremism via select programs and digital outreach teams.

This meeting is open to the public, Members and staff of Congress, the State Department, Defense Department, the media, and other governmental and non-governmental organizations. To attend and make any requests for reasonable accommodation, please e-mail pdcommission@state.gov by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Please plan to arrive by 9:45 a.m. to allow time to pass through security.
